Information We Collect
FateLine uses your device camera to capture an image of your palm so it can generate your reading.
Palm images are sent securely to our processing provider OpenAI to generate your reading. They are never sold or used for advertising.
If you save a reading, it is stored locally on your device or in your account on our servers so you can revisit it.
If FateLine offers accounts, we collect your email address to create and manage your account.
We may collect non-identifying technical data — device type, OS version, app version, crash logs, and general usage patterns — to improve the app.
We use Google Play Services, Firebase, and/or Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app performance. These services may collect data under their own privacy policies.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate and display your palm reading
- Save and show your past readings (if you choose to save them)
- Maintain, secure, and improve the app
- Fix bugs and analyze performance
We do not sell your personal information.
Camera Permission
FateLine requests camera access solely to scan your palm. We do not access your camera in the background or use it for any other purpose. You can revoke camera permission anytime in your device settings, though the core scanning feature will not work without it.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share data only:
- With service providers who help us operate the app (AI processing provider, analytics, cloud hosting), under their own privacy and security obligations
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety
Data Retention and Deletion
Saved readings are kept until you delete them or for as long as your account is active. You can delete your saved readings in-app via Settings at any time.
To request deletion of all your data, contact us at 0to1foundry@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children’s Privacy
FateLine is not directed to children under 13 or the age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
